Prayer is one of the most important things we can do to effect change and it is at the core of our mission. Here are some of the ways we use prayer:
Prayer for Drop-In’s
Many in our North Side neighborhoods are filled with despair and have a need to begin or restore their relationship with their Maker. The Prayer Center is open to them during the times when many churches are closed. Our prayer team members are on hand daily to pray with them and to help them learn to pray on their own.
We also have three private prayer closets for their use. In addition, there are bibles, books on prayer and Christian DVD’s that they can access. Free Doughnut Girl Coffee is served daily to all who visit, complements of one of our collaborating partners, The Salvation Army.
Prayer Walks
Christians from other communities join our neighborhood prayer team members to walk the area, praying with the people we meet on the streets and preparing the land for transformation.
